World Series of BBQ

Full Tilt threw a nice party at the Golden Nugget Shark Tank raising $216,000 for the Boys and Girls Club of Las Vegas.  There was lots of fireworks, karaoke, and of course booze and BBQ.  Host Karina Jett MC’d the evening while her daughter was busy winning the kids karaoke contest.  Joe Reitman won the adult karaoke contest with a strong performance of Beyonce’s Single Ladies.

All the top Full Tilt pros came out for the party and many even brought their families,  Matt Savage was in the pool with his son and Jen Harman was dancing with her kids.  The younger pros stayed out of the water and close to the bar, where I too spent most of the evening.

At the end of the night Full Tilt sponsored one of the best fireworks shows I’ve ever seen.  The DJ coordinated music to the display as chunks of fireworks shot into the Golden Nugget hotel tower.

Wasted Space @ Hard Rock

DeepStacks University hosted a party for players and students at the rock bar Wasted Space.  They had tables and bottle service in the back corner of the bar with a nice view of the crowd and dancers.

DeepStacks coaches Mike ‘The Mouth’ Matusow and Justin ‘Boosted J’ Smith were there while the rest of the crew was busy playing late night poker at the Rio.  Trishelle Cannatella and Jennifer Cox, known for her role as Jan Brady in the 1995 version of the Brady Bunch, were there sucking down the drinks and mingling with the pros.

Late Night

Got in about 4am after hitting up the Fireside Lounge at The Peppermill with a few people after the parties.  We ended up doing flips for shots of jagerand lemon drops, not a good choice.  Woke up at about 11:30am, feeling surprisingly ok, and had to run out the door to make it to the first party of the day hosted by 2 + 2 at Aria.  I have yet to take a sip of alcohol and it is already 5pm so I better get started.  Party weekend continues and I’ll be back with more stories tomorrow.
