Phil Gordons 40th B-day

Perry Friedman threw a 40th birthday bash/4th of July party for Phil Gordon at his house in Henderson. Lots of Full Tilt pros and fam and friends were in attendance. Perry knows how to throw a party! There was an open bar with Grey Goose flowing, full Memphis BBQ catering all night, cotton candy machine, snowcone maker, full movie-style popcorn maker, and many many snack bowls full of candy, sparklers, hair ties, band-aids, ibuprofen and more.

The only thing missing was condoms. He also has 2 corn-hole sets, one with Phil Gordon’s face on it and the other branded Full Tilt, a trampoline, a pool with water-slide, Wii, a putting-green area, air hockey, pool table, ping pong, horse shoes, fire-pit, and hot tub. There was a $500 Roshambo tournament which guaranteed a $10k Main Event Seat.

That was way out of my league but I did play a $30 super satellite to the $125 sat to the main. I won my first round against Jon Katkin but lost my 2nd one to Joe Reitman. I never knew Rock Paper Scissors was so stressful! The winner was 21 year old Austin who defeated the defending champ, guess that means there is some skill to the game!

Bluff @ Sapphire

Bluff magazine hosted their annual party at Sapphire but by the time I made it there I was a little tipsy from the free flowing vodka. I made it for last call of the open bar after having to stop at Walgreens for a new pair of shoes. I managed to break my flip flops at Phil’s party so with little time to spare at 12am I picked up a $14 pair of flips.

I headed directly to the bar and scored 7 drinks for me and my friends and snagged a spot at a table. Not too many players were left by the time we arrived just bumped into Jeff Madsen who was at Phil’s party and a few other media peeps. The most entertaining part of the night was my trip to the bathroom where I saw a guy getting a handjob by someone who was not an employee of Sapphire but just a drunk cougar. Good Times!

Tonight is the 888 party at the Hard Rock and the Ultimate Bet party at Aria. I’ll be heading out in a few to the 888 but the UB party is not looking likely, which is fine by me I’ve drank a month’s worth of booze in 3 days!
