2 + 2 Flip-a-ment

After doing flips for shots until 4am I decided to wake up at 11:30 and go to the 2 + 2 flip-a-ment at Aria.  This was a $200 buy-in tournament, 3 tables of eight and two seats flipped at a time.  Seats 1 & 2 are dealt cards then the board is dealt, winner stays loser is busto, dealer moves on to the next flip.  It was a fun idea, a little early in the morning for poker players though, only 13 people had registered when we arrived and it was set to start at noon.  They waited until 1:30pm to get going once they had 32 players and had scheduled to to another 64 person flipament later in the day for half price.  The prizepool was broken down paying 4 places 1st $2,732 – 2nd $1,738 – 3rd $869 & 4th $869.  There was a nice buffet set up, free booze, and cash games for those not interested in the $200 ’raffle’.  I’m sure the party went on late but I had to ditch out to get to Ante Up for Africa.
