Day 25 is moving right along here at the 2010 WSOP. I could sit here and tell you about all of the events that are going on at present, but in all honesty, the only thing anyone gives a damn about is the $10,000 Heads-Up Final and the final table of the $3,000 H.O.R.S.E.

Dying from Boredom

Heads-up poker is supposed to be exciting, or so that is how the events are sold. After a six hour match last night, match two of this event has so far went 3 hours and 45 minutes with Ayaz Mahmood leading 5.1 Million to 2.58 Million. With blinds of 50k and 100k with NO ANTE, we might be here for a while, especially if Ernst Schmejkal can find a way to double up. If he does, I think some people may shoot themselves out of sheer boredom.

Maybe Mahmood was Greenstein's Round 1 opponent

Anyone want to play some Razz? How about some straight Stud? Right now, I think that would be more interesting than this.

Phil Ivey Makes the Final Table

On the other hand, the $3,000 H.O.R.S.E final table is loaded. At one point earlier in the day, Phil Ivey was dead last in chip. He came storming back to move up as high as 2nd in chips. Right now, he sits 3rd in chips at a final table that includes Bill Chen, Jeff Lisandro, Chad Brown, David Baker, and chip leader John Juanda. A real WSOP legend game.

Ivey is at the final table. Thankfully he left this jacket at home...we hope....

This is Juanda’s 4th final table. BJ Nemeth retweeted a saying on twitter that goes along the lines of “A wise man once said. Juanda has cashed, therefore he has final tabled.” That is most certainly the case this year.

Of course, who cares!?!? Phil Ivey is 3rd in chips. All must bow to the awesomeness that is Phil Ivey. All except for Harrah’s. The WSOP in their “infinite wisdom” decided that the final table of this event should be put on a secondary table. Granted, at the start of the day, nobody could guarantee that this final would be this strong. However, they should move them to the featured table.

Personally, I am going to go back and rail the Ivey final table a bit more and with any luck watch Ivey win bracelet #8.
