The World Series of Poker is just ONE DAY AWAY!  Players from all over are already beginning to descend upon Vegas and beginning their pre-WSOP preparations.  The poker media is in town having their pre-WSOP meetings and Harrah’s has been in meetings for the last couple of days in preparation.

What have I been doing?  Playing video poker and watching Doctor Who mostly.  While that may not be the most exciting preparation for the WSOP, we have a long six weeks ahead of us.  I am primarily just relaxing before a long six week stretch.

I plan to head over to the Rio tomorrow and pick up my media pass as well as check the venue out.  I will also play a satellite or two.  With any luck, I will win my way into Saturday’s Event #3.

The first event kicks off Friday with the $500 Employee’s event.  Later that day, the $50,000 Player’s Championship will kick off.  I am looking forward to railing that a while.
