Phil Hellmuth wins non-Holdem bracelet

Hellmuth Beats Chainsaw - ComplainSaw Happy
In a stunning upset, Phil Hellmuth defeated Allen “Chainsaw” Kessler heads-up in the $1,500 Stud 8 or Better event to win his first bracelet outside of Holdem. Of his accomplishment he said, “I knew that this day would come. I put so much of myself into every game I play and I know that I can compete in any game out there. This win affirms what we all knew, and that is that I am the best poker player in the world.”
A distraught Allen Kessler stated, “For f**ks sake, how bad do I run? I lost to Phil in Stud? I was the favorite coming into the final table and had the chip lead until three-handed. Phil then ran like God to beat me. I partially blame the structures. Jack Effel and I need to sit together and talk about the structure of this event for next year.”
An jubilant Hellmuth left the Rio to party it up with family and friends, with bottles of Dom being sacrificed to the “bracelet king.”
