And the Winner Is….
How much is T.J. Cloutier’s 2005 WSOP bracelet worth? Apparently $4,006. That is what the final bid was on the bracelet on the Ebay auction that has been going on all week.

This is what $4,006 looks like.
The bracelet has stirred up a bit of news. Some thought that the bracelet should be purchased an given back to Cloutier. Personally, I am on the side of folks that think it would be useless. If Cloutier sold it once, he will do it again.
I actually considered bidding on the bracelet. However, by the time I was considering it, it was up to $3,500 and I had to make a choice between the bracelet or a couple of lovely redheaded escorts. (You know I love me some redheads.)
Now, this got me to thinking. What happened to the bracelets that other players such as Johnny Moss or Stu Ungar won. You have to figure Stu sold all of his bracelets. That would be an interesting story. Maybe I will do some digging to find out.

Well, the main reason I think it went so cheap was because it was TJ. If this would have been a bracelet from someone a bit more popular, I think it would have went for more. Would you rather have a bracelet that belonged to Phil Hellmuth or Thomas Keller? Doyle Brunson or Jens Voertmann? Had it been a more popular name, it would have went for a lot more.

I was shocked to see this go for so cheap, I guess it’s kind of a shame to a poker player to have a bracelet that you didn’t win. Plus it’s kind of sad too because you know TJ must be in such bad times to sell his bracelet.
I also read somewhere that this pawn shop in Las Vegas always has a wsop bracelet for sale.
