A woman won a bowling tournament on Sunday.  However, it was not just some women’s only tournament.  It was the PBA Tournament of Champions.  Kelly Kulick became the first woman in HISTORY to win a PBA tour event.  And it wasn’t a fluke either.  She bowled a 265 in the championship game to take the title.  A win by 70 pins.

She has bigger balls than you. And they come with their own bag.

Why am I talking about this in a poker blog?  Well, many of us that play poker bowl.  While there are women’s bowling tournaments, nobody has been able to take it down against the men.  Kulick has become the PBA’s version of Barbara Enright with this win.  In addition to the  $40,000 she won for the event, Kulick has a 2 year exemption on the PBA tour.

What long term effect this will have on the PBA is hard to say, but for now, the PBA TOC belongs to a woman.  See that guys?  You go enter and win ladies poker tournaments, and they go and take down PBA titles.  It’s all about balance.
