PokerRoom Officially Reopens Online Poker Site
Last month, I reported on how there was “something going on at PokerRoom.com.”
Well, after a month of “speculation”, PokerRoom is now offering live money games once again.

PokerRoom officially reopens online poker site.
Yes, as in the PokerRoom that ran from 1999 to 2009 before shutting down due to lack of revenue.
Personally, I used to play on this site back in the day due to the fact they had Five Card Draw games. At the time, they were the only place that had them.
PokerRoom returns to the Ongame Network, which places it on a top five network to start with. Unfortunately, the site will still not serve the US.
I signed up for an account earlier today and downloaded the software and was still met with a block for US players. That means we can’t even play on the play money side of things. The forums and other resources are available on the site for US players, but that is about the size of it.
Of course, those of you out there that are not in the US can give them a look.
So, as figured, the “Going Back to the Future” gimmick was a precursor to them reopening the site. Going back in time so to speak.
Personally, I am glad to see this go down. I know many do not like the Ongame network, but for nostalgia value and name value for when the US does legalize online poker, the site can’t go wrong.
Now, we just have to sit back and see how long it takes for us to actually be able to play on the site.
