We are officially in the post-WSOP doldrums. I’ve been perusing the various sites for news and, as expected, there is your typical mix of relevant poker news and filler.

The problem is that there seems to be a lot of filler. The fluffy bunnies are now playing poker it seems.

I get it. It’s a slower time of the year and we need something to write about. However, does Daniel Cates’ inability to get into Canada really qualify as headline news?

Other sites are writing articles about Huck Seed massive video poker score. Granted, winning $600k in a single hand of video poker is sick, but a whole article? Really?

And let’s spend some time talking about the Epic Poker League logo policy. Ok, WE won’t talk about it, but you get my point.
