Poker sites that don’t offer casino are my heroes. Here’s why.

Poker is a fine and classy game, but it struggles with all sorts of legal problems and has to fight for its status in society.

Casino games are a fine and greedy kind of robbery that could be outlawed completely as far as I’m concerned.

Some poker sites dabble in casino. Those sites are obviously in it for the money only. They have no respect for poker as a fine game but are just making money in any way possible. They would go into Online Money Laundry if they thought they could get away with it.

One thing is certain: Those sites don’t help poker in its struggle for approval. They are actively dragging poker in the dirt along with their other, profitable but brainless, activities.

They provide ammunition to the enemy.

Other poker sites do poker only. They’re trying to offer the best possible online poker for all us poker lovers out there. They’re obviously hoping to make money from it too, but they seem to be driven by a genuine love of poker, at least of them.

These poker sites are my heroes in this sordid world.

Here’s the (sadly short) list of pure poker sites:

• Poker Stars
• Full Tilt Poker

It’s interesting to note that these two rooms are totally dominating the online poker scene. That tells us something about poker players: They’re not particularly interested in casino games.

Just as they are not particularly interested in money laundry.
