Lately there has been a ton of talk in the poker world about washing your hands after going to the bathroom.

I hate to break it to you folks, but I am not as worried about Mr. “forgot to wash his hands in the bathroom” guy as I am about some of these other folks.

Forget the guys who forget to wash their hands. I'm more scared of this lady.

Cashiers and Chip Runners

If there is anyone that should be wearing gloves inside of the casino, its these folks.

Think about all the places that the chips have been that they are sorting. Now factor in that they are handling all the money from all the people in the poker room, and think about where their hands have been.

Tell me if you want them touching your stuff.

Dealers With Colds

Oh yes, I would like your cold please Mr. or Ms. “sneeze on your sleeve and then cough into your hand and spread your germs on the cards, chips, and everything else.”

If you are sick, go home. But guess what, they don’t because they can’t afford to like many other working stiffs.

Janitors

Don’t you just love the janitors and porters that have to come by and sweep under your chair, table, take away your cups, etc?

What have they been handling today or just before coming to your area?

Valets

Much like the cashiers, these men and women have to get in an out of people’s cars, take the money for tips, etc.

While I don’t worry about germs from them like I do cashiers, they are another form of germ spreader.

Germs are everywhere folks.

While it is obviously more sanitary to wash your hands after you to the bathroom, etc, I am more worried about some of the guys and girls above than some guy who forgot to wash after touching his wang in the bathroom.
