Los Angeles Lakers star Ron Artest has legally changed his name to Metta World Peace.

Ron Artest is now Metta World Peace.

To quote WWE Superstar The Miz, really?

At least his intentions are good. He is trying to inspire and bring youth together as a result of his name change.

Naturally, this got me thinking about poker players that might consider legally changing their names. Here are a few I came up with:

Erik Seidel – Runs Like God

Prahlad Friedman – Take Bankroll Please

Jean-Robert Bellande – Give Bankroll Please

Jason Mercier – Erik Seidel

Michael Divita – Not a Creeper, Swear

Russ Hamilton – At Least I’m Not Full Tilt Poker

Howard Lederer – Not Your Funds

Daniel Negreanu – I “Luv” EPL
