Just received a press release from ppipoker.com a few minutes ago. Here is the first sentence:

Ya, we were shocked you got a new endorsement too.

“The newly transformed Tropicana Las Vegas recently announced that 2006 WSOP Main Event Champion Jamie Gold will be named its Poker Spokesperson and Ambassador and Tropicana’s intimate poker room will be named “The Jamie Gold Poker Room.”

I give it six months. That is the going rate for a Jamie Gold endorsement deal isn’t it?

Gold plans to continue his philanthropic efforts in conjunction with his new deal.

As much as I bash Gold (for obvious reasons), the man has done a lot of good for charity in connection with poker. That part I respect.

With that said, here are the top three rejected slogans for the new “Jamie Gold Poker Room.”
